Dodge Viper
Every Viper here runs an all-aluminium pushrod V10 with two valves per cylinder, and the side-exit exhaust ahead of the rear wheels is why the cabin hears so much of it. Displacement went from 7,990 cc in the SR II to 8,285 cc in the ZB I and 8,382 cc from the ZB II onward. The VX I makes 640 hp and 813 Nm, with 645 hp from 2015. The 27 clips include a launch, a burnout, a fly-by, a top speed run, an acceleration run, a track clip and an interior clip.

Which Viper generation has stability control?
Only the VX I (2013-2017). It was the first Viper with electronic stability control and traction control. The SR II never had traction or stability control, and ABS arrived there only in 2001. The ZB I (2003-2006) also has no stability control and is listed as easy to spin.
How much power does each Viper generation make?
The SR II makes 450 hp from 8.0 L (460 hp in the GTS ACR). The ZB I makes 500 hp from 8.3 L. The ZB II makes 600 hp from 8.4 L. The VX I makes 640 hp, rising to 645 hp from the 2015 model year, with 813 Nm of torque.
Do Vipers have heat problems in the cabin?
Yes. The ZB I and ZB II list side exhaust heat soaking the sills and cabin as a known weak point. The SR II lists high cabin heat. The side-exit exhaust sits in front of the rear wheels on these cars.
What gearbox does the Viper use?
All generations have a six-speed manual and RWD. The SR II uses a Borg-Warner T56, the ZB I a Tremec T56, and the ZB II and VX I a Tremec TR6060. The VX I offered no other transmission.
