The caption credits SNASH Bahrain with a full detail on a GR Yaris and names the GR-Four system. It lists no parts and no other work, and the clip is 31 seconds long. Paint finish is the subject here, not the drivetrain.
Single turbo and air-to-air intercooler
One turbocharger feeds the G16E-GTS, and its charge air passes through an air-to-air intercooler before reaching the engine. From 1618 cc that setup delivers 257 hp and 360 Nm. An air-to-air core depends on airflow across it, so in hot conditions on track the intake charge warms and the ECU pulls power. The sheet lists exactly that heat soak as a weak point. The intercooler is therefore the part that sets how long the car holds its output. Fit a larger core and the intake stays cooler, at the price of a longer path for the charge air to fill.
Remaps, intercoolers and downpipes
Most owners start with an ECU remap. On the stock turbo it adds large amounts of power and torque, and the trade-off is higher engine stress and possible warranty problems. An upgraded intercooler is the answer to heat soak: lower intake temperatures and steadier power on track, though an oversized core adds turbo lag. A downpipe and exhaust make the car louder and support higher-boost tunes. They also bring drone and emissions and noise legality concerns. With an aftermarket intake or downpipe, the turbo and wastegate noises become easier to hear over the three-cylinder thrum.
