Eleven of the 30 clips are M8s, and the S63B44T4 explains their sound: a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with both twin-scroll turbos in the hot vee between the cylinder banks. The turbos absorb much of the exhaust note, and European cars with petrol particulate filters are quieter than early non-OPF cars. The M3 clips cover the S58 in the G80 and the S55 in the F80, against the 4.0 L S65 V8 of the E92, which has eight individual throttle bodies and an 8,300 rpm redline. Five captions name E85 or ethanol; two M3 clips are E30s.
